With the relocation of their headquarters to Brentwood, McColls needed help bringing their brand purpose, personality and values to life for employees in a new space that channels the company’s roots and defies the typical office format in order to attract, engage and retain the best talent.
After immersing ourselves in the brand, their people and the wider context of the modern workplace, we uncovered that today’s employee is looking for a brand that invests in their personal growth and wellbeing in a world where we’re seeing a work/life revolution in action.
We led the translation of the brand into a work space experience, creating the vision for the spaces, communications and signage that ensured that McColls core purpose was brought to life in their new home.

The new concept has a strong social focus, with an emphasis on culture and communication. Open-plan, flexible working spaces allow employees to work the way they want and facilitate collaboration across the company. The space also includes a training academy dedicated to developing careers and future leaders, and a ‘mock shop’ to prototype new customer propositions.
A large proportion of the break out spaces have been designed and constructed in modular forms which enables the spaces to grow and evolve to suit changing team sizes and spatial requirements.
